Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
A Longmores we value differences and support equality.
Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion covers the protected characteristics listed in UK the Equality Act 2010. Beyond the basics of compliance and labelling we aim to include other personal characteristics and experiences in our commitment too.
First and foremost we are people and believe in the tradition of treating others as we like to be treated. We support a culture of fairness and respect where we hope everyone we encounter through our business activities feels they can be themselves. Everything we do is also underpinned by our core values.
We aim to be free of bias and acknowledge that this requires ongoing self-awareness and learning. We are interested in different views, values, choices and beliefs and endeavour to be both flexible and inclusive to support the needs of individuals and our business.
We want our workforce to feel a sense of belonging and empowerment so that we thrive collectively and achieve our potential.
Longmores is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) who also monitor the diversity of the workforces within the firms they regulate. Every two years a survey is conducted and you can download our 2023 report here.
The SRA also publishes an overview of diversity of the solicitors’ profession across all SRA regulated law firms.
