Protecting Their Future Inheritance with Trusts and Wills Webinar

About the webinar
During the webinar Charles Fraser will explain the steps families with an autistic child (both minors and “adult children”) can take to ensure they are looked after following their parents’ deaths.
It can be quite worrying thinking about what will happen to them when you are gone, and overwhelming trying to find the right information for your own specific circumstances. Children with autism are unlikely to live independently when they reach adulthood and will probably require a level of support throughout their lives. As benefits are usually means-tested it is critical that parents do not leave a pot of money to their children as they risk losing their benefits and the support that comes with them. The impact of losing these benefits can be significant as the adult with autism may not have the mental capacity to manage the money or organise the care they need.
Charles will explain how you can protect the future of your child and the vital support they will need through:
- Wills
- Trusts
- Lasting powers of attorney
- Court of Protection applications
After the talk, there will be an opportunity to ask Charles questions.
