Looking After Family Business: The Next Generation

  • This event has passed.

About the event

Every business runs through a cycle of leadership and changes which within family business can be particularly emotive.

You may have inherited your business, or started and grown your own successful enterprise, but that does not guarantee the next generation want or have the experience to take over.  Perhaps the question of selling the business has arisen.

You can never start succession planning too soon in a family business.  Nor is it ever too early to work towards selling a business so you can maximise the opportunity when the time comes.  Critical to either route is preparation and understanding how to implement your decision with as little stress as possible.

During this seminar we will hear from guest speaker Graham Pitts, Group Managing Director at KGK Genix, who has experienced the handing over from one generation to the next.

A panel of solicitors will also discuss how a business can be passed to the next generation, how to prepare a business for sale, and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

Delegates are encouraged to join in and ask the panel questions.
