Disabled Dependants: Setting up trusts to ensure their financial stability
- This event has passed.
About the webinar
For any parent of a child with a disability, be they a minor or adult, thinking about what will happen to them when you die can be a constant source of worry.
You have probably thought about your will, but want to make sure the specific needs and circumstances of your child are taken care of when you are not here to act on their behalf.
You may also have thought about setting some money aside now for your children, to save inheritance tax.
During this webinar Charles Fraser, Head of the Older & Vulnerable Client team at Longmores Solicitors, will explain how you can ensure their financial stability through the use of trusts. He will be taking a look at the different types of trusts available for parents of children with additional needs. This will include:
- Trusts for Vulnerable Beneficiaries (Disabled Persons Trusts)
- Discretionary Trusts
- The consequences of, and differences between, setting-up trusts during your lifetime, or in a will.
After the talk, there will be an opportunity to ask Charles questions.
This webinar will be useful to anybody who is the parent of a child with a disability.
